The Junior League of Wichita will present its 15th annual Holiday Galleria, an upscale shopping event featuring more than 100 of the best regional and national merchants, October 4-7, 2018. All proceeds will support Junior League of Wichita’s mission. Currently, the League works with the community to combat child abuse through awareness, prevention and intervention.

Since its inception, the League has contributed more than $5.8 million to the Wichita community in the form of community projects. More than $44 million in-kind services in the form of volunteer hours have been donated to improve the quality of life in the Wichita area.

AIDS Walk 2018 Wichita

Positive Directions presents Aids Walk 2018! MAY 19th! Yes we are at it again! Why you ask? Well, HIV infections have been on the rise here in Wichita, and though we here at Positive Directions are fighting it tooth and nail, providing FREE rapid HIV, and conventional syphilis tests, distributing condoms all over the city, and educating as many poeple as we can on how to stay safe, the need to continue and grow is, well it's still there! So we are asking you to take part and help us out by participating in this years AIDs Walk! Build a team or walk alone, but no matter what, have your friends & family support your participation with donations. It is free to walk ! If you have raised over $25 you will receive an AIDS Walk 2018 t-shirt. Every cent raised goes directly to Positive Directions, Inc so that we can help even more people in the community. YES that means exactly what you think it means. ALL proceeds go to the programs that directly help our services grow and reach those that need them. Not one cent reaches the pockets of anyone in should not, and no I will not be getting a new car out of any bonus or anything you think, this money goes into the programs! We will be at the Workroom on 150 N Cleveland. There's a giant mural on the side of the building, you can't miss it! Check-in @ 9am Walk begins @ 10am, and yes there will be all sorts of pre walk fun! About Positive Directions, Inc. (in case you didn't know) Positive Directions, Inc. (PDI) started its journey in 1991 as Care Coordination Team. PDI received its 501(c)(3) determination in May of 1999. Positive Directions provides the Wichita community with HIV/AIDS prevention resources including education and free rapid HIV testing. All services provided to clients or community are provided free of charge, including Condom Distribution, Rapid HIV Testing, Support Group Referrals and Volunteer Support.

Final Friday Ad Astra Per Aspera Art Benefit for ICT SOS

Instead of having one featured artist, we would like to host a gallery event to all artist alike and benefitting those in need.
Win - Win!!

Playing off of our state's motto, all artwork will be based off "Ad Astra Per Aspera". The motto means, "to the stars through difficulty". 10% of all sales will go to ICT S.O.S., a Wichita-based anti-trafficking organization. ICT SOS strives to provide resources for survivors of trafficking and exploitation through our local direct service partners. We hope to continue our mission of education and prevention with a night under the stars of fun, fashion and friends.

Artwork will be shown at The Workroom Final Friday 6-9pm, regular store hours Saturday, and then at the The Hudson for Freedom Through Fashion 2018 fundraiser benefit for ICT S.O.S.. All unsold merchandise can be picked up Monday at The Workroom, and no later than Wednesday 5:00pm.
